Okay, so i am using linux (mandriva LE2005) and i right click on the little menu star button in the bottom left hand corner, and i click configure. i chose one of the options and now when i click it i cant see any options to view system, office, multimedia and internet applications all i get are find, recent documents and run command.
Also when i try and open a folder it asks me what to open it with and it used to just open.
any help would be great.

i cant configure anything else either, it wont let me configure my desktop, nothing!
I'm not sure I understand what's going on. If I'm correct, you changed a setting and now you can't see any of your menu content? If that's the case, I can probably guess what you did. Right-click on your star menu, choose Menu Editor. In the menu editor, click Menu Style (at the top) and choose "Use system administrator style". Then hit save. Did that do it?

yeah i tried that but i cant get into menu editor....i'll turn my computer off and have a go later when i go back on linux

i've gone back in and it still wont let me into configure it, i've tried right clicking and selecting menu editor....nothing (hard drive makes a sound then stops) and when i select panel menu>configure panel the same thing happens...
