Can ne1 help me with a lil problem, everytime I try to go onto MSN messenger or access anything to do with it eg. Hotmail, I get disconnected from the internet. I have tried a different ISP, reinstalled xp, anyone got any suggestions what the problem might be.
Is it only MSN/hotmail when you get disconnected? Or does this happen ever where? Does it stall first or just turn disconnects ? Need more info please..
it started out as just MSN Messenger and hotmail, but now it is starting to do it on other programs that I have to log into, I can't use my online banking or my webcam on yahoo. The only warnign I get is hearing the modem click off, just before I get the disconnected message
Run adware, virus, trojan etc...... scan and see if you comes out with any viruses. Btw, my mind says, if you have done complete reinstallion of windowsn again then it is the problem with the hardware, I mean modem. Try just taking it out and put it back again.
Yea! I would run antiVirus first,then spyware programs and then start unhooking un needed hardware.. It sounds like a hardware conflict some where. try and disconnect the webcam and printer and what ever else you have connnected to do testing. How long as this been doing this? What kind of a computer do you have? Is it sort of new? did you get any recovery disks with this computer?

only had the modem a month, first 2 weeks it was fine. then i started playing up, don't know what happened. I don't have anything else plugged in. The webcam was installed prior to the modem. Thank you for your help gonna try scanning
