Help with my new build!

    Hey guys,
    new on this forum:)!I was thinking on building my own pc, I have someone working on my pc helping me put it together.The problem is i'm getting my own parts, so this is what I have so far, I need to know what else is needed and will it function??:)
    Motherboard:gigabyte ga-ep45-ud3r lga socket 775 intel p45 atx intel motherboard
    Processor:intel core 2 duo e8500 wolfdale lga 775 65w dual core
    Memory/ram:what would you suggest with 775 socket?
    Video card:evga 896-p3-1170- ar geforce gtx 275 896mb ddr3 pci(will it work?)
    hard drive:suggestions?
    Dvd rw: suggestions?
    Sound card:need a very good one with 775 socket, suggestions?

    For your Hard Drive I would recommend a Seagate or Western Digital. They are very reliable and are well priced. Make sure it is 7,200 rpm as anything higher isn't worth it in my opinion. For your optical drive, any Major brand should do you well such as LG, Sony or Samsung. Get a +/- RW as with this you can write, read and rewrite. Or maybe a Blue Ray optical drive if you will be using Blu Ray discs.

    Oh and for the ram??
    And a good sound card with 775 socket?
    And will my video card work??

    For Ram, depends how much you want and check the maximum for that motherboard. Get a good brand such as corsair and for your board get ddr2 1366. That video card should work,I think and i'm sorry I don't know much about soundcards as I always use the sound card included in the motherboard.
