HL, HL2 Games Crashing

Ok, just recent built a new PC....
2GB Ram
Nvidia 7900GT 256MB
AMD 3700+


while in HL2 or a smilia mod CS:S etc...

I constantly crash to the Desktop...
under the Crash Info b4 i send it....
is see...
ModName : datacache:dll

I ran a defrag, virus scan, malware scan, etc...

Any suggestion?

Run your game first and when it crashes
Go to:

Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer

if you see any error over there, just open that event....copy and paste everthing in here.

(and this is just one of the errors.... the only game that i can run problem free is Counter Strike 1.6)

Other Games I get problems with:
DOOM 3
CS:S (basically any HL2 mod)
Age of Empires III

Have you patched these games to the latest version? Have you gotten the latest drivers for your video card (I believe the 84.22 driver are the newest ones.
 
Problem solved... found out my proper MoBo Drivers.... (Im dumb ^_^ )

everything runs great and boy HL2 looks spectatular...
 
For some reason... i'll get a full screen shuttering (i believe that is what the problem is called, but not sure.)

and if i alt tab to my desktop and alt tab back to the game the problem is solved... anyone know what this is all about...

I have the latest Drivers from Nvidia... Running Directx 9.0c,
2GB RAM, 7900Gt's in SLI.... (Problem happend in SLI and single card use)
Temps for video cards mid 50's celisus... Processor temps mid 30's celisus
AMD Athlon 3700+
Abit A8N Mobo w/ nvidi chipset... Latest BISO Installed /flashed...
Spyware,Adware,virus checkers all ran, Defrag done... temp directory emptied....

This happens to EQ 2 as well (unless i run in the game i a window)

and if anyone has a website or a blog/thread that explain/show (pictures) of common video card problems that would be great, i could possibly provide a better explaniation of what the problem is..
