I have a computer that is running win98. When I use internet explore my homepage says "about.blank.com". I have tried changeing it then restart my computer and get the same homepage again. I have used Adware to see if it can fix the problem but nothing. Can somebody help me with this problem please. Note: Win98 is updated Thank You
First of all make sure that Internet Explorer is upto date patch wise.. If that doesn't fix your problem i would download [google]HijackThis[/google] then goto HiJackThis.de i believe, register on the English forums - unless you speak dutch or german. Then post your full HijackThis report into a post. I doubt it's a browser Hijack as it's not resetting your homepage to a working URL, however there's always the possibility that the Hijack didnt fully work and is set in a loop. Your other option is to install Mozilla Firefox, this is a fantastic browser - incredibly similiar in graphical layout to Internet Explorer, except its a much better - more stable and more secure browser, it virtually fully protects you from spyware (unless when prompted you make the fatal move of clicking "Yes" to "Do you want to install this content"... then it loads horribly malicious spyware.
