How do you remove a partion

Since I intalled Win 7 on my computer, I have no use for the partion that came with the computer originally. I have already deleted all the files in the partition, so there is nothing I have to worry about.

What I want to know is what is the correct way to remove the partition safely so I can recover that space.

Any help will be apriciated

Hi,

It looks like windows 7 can do this without any third party software now. I found a tutorial showing first how to delete a partion (cant be your boot partition or the page file partition) here:
