how to change key maping in mac os x 10.3

    I am using latvian language on my mac. but if i need to get a special character (for example, see a latvian site like this) i have to use the alt key. where can I change this?

    Are you using a Latvian keyboard? Also, macs do not have an ALT key. Are you using a PC keyboard?

    Small Snippet:
    Mac's use the "Option" key - my Macbook has "Alt" written on that key too though.
