I am having trouble getting display on my LCD monitor

My PC spec:

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+
512 K Ram
Video RAM: 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce 6100
SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio
Asus Motherboard A8N-VM
Monitor: LG L175S

I was trying to install a 512K RAM module on my motherboard. When I re-booted the PC, the monitor was blank and I could not see the boot sequence.

What I have done so far

-I re-checked that the VGA cable was connected properly
-I removed the new RAM module
-I re-checked the power cables for both monitor and pc

what ram is it? are you installing the correct ram for your board e.g ddr2? if you can post back with the make and model of your board and the ram you are using we can help you out. but in the mean time put your old ram back in and reset cmos. your comp should post again.
