FT.com / Mergermarket - IBM, Advanced Micro Devices, could set more formal chip ties, with merger possible, sources say Well this is interesting, AMD is setting more formal ties with IBM, and apparenty there are talks of a future merger. So, that would mean AMD becomes huge, and IBM once again has its hand in the computer market again. Ether way, i dunno, i can understand AMD is really desperate at this point, and they haven't had gains since 2006, but it just seems like a merger is an odd option, granted, it is still just talk at this point. On a side note, there will eventually just be one company for everything, seriously, there has been more mergers and joining of companies recently, its crazy.
