I've been having this prob for about two nights now, and i'm not really sure what's going on. My computer won't get past the bios post screen, and my drives are just hanging, the little lights blinking twice.

I'm really not sure what's going on, but it's getting annoying.

    Specs:
    Asus a7v8x-x
    Athlon 2500+
    1 gb ram
    SIL 3114 sata card
    1 80gb seagate
    2 160gb seagates (raid)
    plextor px-712sa - dvdrw
    plextor 40/12/40a - cdrw
    Video: Nvidia geforce 6800 gt

try disconnecting 1 device at a time to diagnose which drive is causing the problem

Make sure all of the cards, the CPU, and the RAM, are properly seated. Remove them and reinsert them to be sure.

Remove all non-essential components and disconnect non-essential cables (including IDE, floppy, etc.). All you should need to reach the initial boot screen (memory count, etc.) are: the motherboard, CPU, RAM, power supply, and graphics card. If it boots, start adding components one at a time, and boot up each time. When the system won't boot, you've found your faulty (or incorrectly installed or incompatible) component.
