Intel 478-Pin Processor

    In my Intel 478-Pin Processor (Socket Processor), some pins are getting black (rusty) but processor is still working and I wawnt to know what why pins are getting black.
    Please help me.

    Oxidation. When a high enough amperage goes through a circuit, contact points will corrode.

    What are the specs of this system? What Pentium 4, motherboard and power supply are you using? Are you overclocking?
