Ok... this is the second time i've had to write this. gotta type quick before my computer crashes again hehe.
Anyway, i've been having really bad instability problems with my computer for months now, it started when i upgraded my motherboard & cpu, got an fic-kt748 and an amd athlon xp 3000 (400mhz fsb barton) since then i've returned both the mb and cpu thinking i got a bad one then i replaced every single part in my computer thinking it was another piece of hardware, reloaded windows a bunch of times (not even sure i can count that high) but now i've found that i've got a pretty nasty irq conflict. below is a copy of how things are assigned to my irqs. as you can see there's three devices assigned to 16. i started trying to resolve this by moving cards around in my pci slots but no matter how i rearrange them, they always either assign to 16 or 18, i can't get anything to assign to a lower irq such as 2,3,4,5,7,10,or 11. i have all my com ports, parallel port, and even my usb disabled in my bios. i've tried uninstalling the devices from windows, rebooting, resetting configuration data in my bios, and reinstalling everything one at a time but they *always* assign to either 16 or 18. if anyone could give me some advice or something else to try because i'm out of ideas, i'd really appreciate it. ps. also when it crashes it'll either just restart with no error messages or anything or i'll get blue screens of death saying something about IRQ_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL or there will be an error in ati2vag.dll..
these error messages further convince me it's an irq problem since my ati radeon is one of the conflicting devices.
