I agree, that's a bit pricey. If it were around £350, that'd be better, but you're getting taken at that price.
 
Nothing special there mate, the Pentium D's are fine and all but they're pretty ho hum these days and the price has dropped big time. Otherwise there's nothing of any major value in that rig so I think you're getting somewhat cheated.
 
The 945 was one of the top-end non Extreme Edition CPU's and it says it has an 80GB hard drive. The price of the system is put mostly into the CPU and skimps on the graphics and hard drive.
 
i brought it customised from dell.got a external hd drive of 120 gb for £30 so i gna use the 80 gb for start up and simple things like that n leave the 120 gb for data.good idea u think?
 
Yeah, that's a good idea. While you will have to reload your programs if you reinstall Windows, having the data on a hard drive makes things much simpler and faster overall from start to finish.
 
ye £30 is a brill price for external 120gb.the max hd space iv had is 40 gb lol.so 80 is gna realy help with start up compared to 40 gb i had b4.then i dont have to worrie about keeping space for start up.i didnt think bout it b4 n didnt leave nothin.left lyk 1 gb n the start up rle slowd down n i only realised the hd is used for start up the last few days lol
 
shabashuali.hte bundle u showd me.aswell as the rest of the bundles on that page do not include floppy drives.dvd rom drives. dvd rw drives.not keyboard,mouse or speakers involved.2.6 ghz maximum on the £528 bundle.totally nothin like myn compared to money.think about it agen.u want value for money.include floppy drives,dvd rom and rw drives keyboard,mouse and speakers.ull be paying more then £600,thn u gota pay delivery charges.

I dont know if they charge for delivering goods but I doubt if they charge u more than 25punds....which will make the amount equal to urs...but if they dont then u can add that amount to ur graphix card....

but remember, its still an unfinished rig. U still need a decent PSU, case and a monitor to run this....which will cost u around 300punds or more.
 
PSU = Power Supply Unit

With new systems clean and stable power is a must, you don't want your PSU giving out on your and possibly taking your lovely components with it. Generic PSU's are more likely to do this than a branded trusted PSU from a decent manufacturer. See the link in Big B's signature for info on PSU's.
