No no no no no that just plain wrong stupid bill and his millions http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3428673.stm
But its wrong ... i think his spending of his millions bought him that knighthood... well i got news for him he can buy one for £12.99 off the net so
I'm sure Addis is right, it's about the charity work. Ol' Bill was probably anticipating this day for quite some time. Though it's no surprise the Queen and Bill chatted about computers I can't help but wonder what subjects they got into (gaming!). I bet the Queen has a real killer rig somewhere in her manor.
I feel bad for all the people that have been knighted before him. Now they must feel like their knighthoods are completely and utterly worthless! And I thought it was bad that Elton John got knighted!
Sir William of Gates: Living proof that Knighthood doesn't mean anything anymore. It's funny, a large percentage of the "charity" work MS does is to give discounted copies of Windows to schools. To MS it's not charity, it's an investment. Like McDonalds, MS believes in getting the kids familiar wth your product young so they'll stick with you forever.
Elton john was too gay to be knighted. I liked some of his songs though. but yea its not really charity if your only doing it in investment. "give without expecting anything back."
