I think Linux is filtering down to the average joe user. One of my brothers, who doesn't know much about computing in general has actually heard about Linux and asked me about it. I explained to him about it, without getting too detailed. I also found out he's switched to Firefox instead of IE...I'm still shocked he actually knew anything about the existance of Linux.
Any body who comes within 2m of me tends to find out about it! lol quite a few of the people in my glass new about it before i told them, unfortunatly not all them where the brightest cookies in the jar! (Somebody was put off using it beacuse DSL looked bad! lol)
well, theres nobody more average than me, and i've being a successful linux user for about 9 months now (with a big hug of thanks to the HWF gods)[ot]i don't even have XP installed anymore (except TinyXP in VMware)[/ot] Edit: with x-mas coming soon, it would have being better to say: Their not the brightest bulbs on the tree
