Hi, I would like to connect a mac mini to a very old laptop. Basically want to use laptop as portable keyboard and monitor. And no i dont need to buy a powerbook instead. (dont mind wrecking the laptop)
I don't know of a way to do exactly what you want. There is a way that sorta gives you what you want, but you'll have to remotely administrate the Mac Mini, and while it can be done, it's not a two step process. That's probably the easiest way---assuming you have an ethernet jack on the laptop. This is something that's out of my knowledgebase, but it's better than the other way I thought up. The only other way that comes to mind is to mod the laptop so that the screen hooks directly to the monitor output...and that requires knowledge of the wiring itself on the laptop...
