Hi forums I did a big computer upgrade recently. I'm now running an Asus Crosshair IV Formula with an AMD Phenom II x6 Black edition, and Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate edition. I bought 2 sticks of 2gb Corsair ram to have temporarily untill I upgraded to 8 and then 16, but I found that they refused to work together- only seperately. I decided to just go for 8 but since then I have tried various different ram sticks, all to no avail. The 2gb Corsair stick is the only one that even works on its own- none of the 4gb sticks worked together or seperately. The thing that happens is that Windows will hang at the loading screen forever. Sometimes it will blue screen. Rarely, it will log in, and then blue screen shortly after. I have tried: -various slot combinations -resetting the BIOS -making sure the latency, speed and voltage are set correctly I currently have a set of Corsair Dominators, 2x 4gb sticks. I've ran Memtest on them and they both passed, no errors. Corsair want me to send them back but I'm sure they're fine. Anyone know what to do? I know Asus have a list on the site of compatible ram for 6 core CPU's, but one of the ones I tried was a Giel set from that list and that didn't work. The whole reason I did this upgrade was to edit a film in time for a deadline, and i've had to do most of it so far with with 2gb of ram. Thanks
