i recently bought an OEM version of the diamondmax 10 300GB pata and i noticed a strange jumper on the right of the standard jumpers. have a look at the picture attached and tell me what u guys think these jumpers are for...but wait, nm, the attach link isnt working.. anyway here is the link to the drive then hdd link = http://www2.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16822140154
it's not a jumper. Atleast I don't think so. It's just a pin with some weird thing over it to either protect it from shorting or as referance to the jumper settings label. Is it shorting two pins, or just over one? I can't really tell.
sorry i havent made the picture big enough, but if u save the picture to ur pc, then open it, it will be its original size, then ull be able to tell . its over 1 pin
then i'm sure it's just used as a referance or protenction. possible both? Maybe it has some hidden underlying meaning that those two pins are used for. I've always wondered why there is more pins that are needed but not on the label that do anything
