Hi,
This is inconsistent, - might be 5 times in one day and then nothing for a week. I get a SMART temp reading of 6 digits, like 555555 C on a HDD. Then a boot might fail, hanging as it tries to find the hard drives.
There's a little more to it than this, like other drives are reporting problems which I suspect do not exist, but my question is has anyone come across this before?
Also, when I look again at the SMART reading, the drive shows a max of 65 C. I know that is high, but I think that is from a long time ago.
I just wonder if this particular problem is possibly not with the HDD at all.
