I have a h61n-usb3 gigabyte board with kingstone ram installed. The ram shows /4GB on each bracket, but bios shows only 4GB, if I remove one of the brackets, it shows 2GB, but in windows 7 64bit, with both brackets I see 8GB total 4GB usable... This is a new mid tower system with a new windows 7 64bit install.

This happens on two systems... am I missing something?

Yea! that doesn't sound right... If you have 8 gigs, It should show 8 gigs in your Bio's.. And in Windows, IF you are running 64 bit OS..
I have Problems with the Ram not show right in Windows, But Never Wrong in the Bio's..You Might have a Bad ram stick..Or a bad ram Slot.

Here is something new, look at the DIMM slot and the available ram, only 50% available...

Solved... turns out that the brand new computer purchased from the dealer and assembled at the dealer needed a bios update... you'd figure they check those things out before right... anyways thanks for the help.
