I've added a belkin G router to my system, and now have problems,Network connection is fine using router or not --but as soon as I use router MSN messenger wont work (some may say good--not my daughter) with lead straight in network port no problem, but as soon as router in the loop either wired or wireless then MSN just wont work, every other connection to internet fine. Have top AOL package(that allows networking). Has any body any ideas.
    Thanks

Do you have a firewall? If yes, then check the settings in it.

Try configuring your router for port 1080 tcp and I believe udp as well... in and out.

Think I might have solved it,Turned off all firewalls-no difference.Got onto belkin support,35mins later altered MTU value to 1400, No idea what that is or even how I got to the window that displayed it. Keeping everything crossed until daughter contacts her buddies!
    Really grateful for suggestions-thankyou
