So, I'm looking to get a gaming mouse that'll last me 2 or more years. I've narrowed it down to either the RAT7 by Madcatz or the CM Storm Sentinel Z3RO G by CoolerMaster. Here's a list of things I'm looking for in a mouse: -Looks cool -Programmable macro buttons -Good dpi and accurate lazer that'll work on most surfaces -braided cord -good clicking scroll wheel -good middle mouse button -no sideways scrolling (a mouse wheel that leans left and right, that annoys me) -good customer service and warranty RAT7: Pros: -looks awesome -completly customizable body -sniper button -dedicated sideways scroll wheel for your thumb -pinky rest -is called the RAT, how badass is that? Cons: -more expensive -reviews say it breaks a lot -not the best drivers and software CM Storm Sentinel Z3RO G Pros: -cheaper -LCD screen -comes with the game shattered horizon -good drivers and software -Very customizable LED lights Cons: -doesn't look as cool as the RAT7 -no sniper button (could i program one of the macro buttons to be a sniper button?) -very new, hardly any reviews on it -always has the shattered horizon logo on the LCD screen (not a huge issue, but themed products tend to annoy me) So, with a 2 year warranty, the RAT7 would cost me $115 (I would buy it from best buy so that if it breaks, i can get it replaced faster) and the CM Storm Sentinel Z3RO G i would get from newegg with an extended 2 year warranty for $75. I cant deside if the RAT7 is worth the extra $40. Has anyone used either of these two mice? How well does the middle mouse button work on the RAT7? How well does the side scroll wheel work on the RAT7? Is the RAT7's software limiting (I know it's not flashy or special, but it looks like it gets the job done.)? What's your guy's opinions? Which one should i get?
ok, well, I went with the RAT7. It's amazing. Im so glad I got this one. It's the coolest mouse ever! the software isn't perfect, but it gets the job done. Such a BA mouse, So customizable. It fits my big hands perfectly. and it can be adjusted to fit anyone else's hands too. its so awesome.
