Apparently, 'certification prep' site Testking (and I use prep very loosely) is going to be bearing the full legal wrath of Microsoft. ArsTechnica has the story: Last week, Microsoft filed a lawsuit against the site alleging that it has reason to believe that Testking.com has been distributing practice questions in its guides that are "either identical or substantially similar to Microsoft's copyrighted exam questions and answers." According to the Microsoft Certified Professional Program Agreement (MCPPA) which every tester must agree to, unauthorized use of the questions presented on the exam is explicitly prohibited. Microsoft never gave Testking.com permission to use the material and therefore has infringed on the company's copyrights by unlawfully distributing its trade secrets. Also, Testking is more like a cheatsheet company than actual practice exams, so they believe this might help put value back into certifications.
