Missing system32 please help

    :swt: hi this is blasterboyman on friday i in stall go-back on my computer from that day i had to format my computer seven time it keep on saying that the system 32 is missing could some help using xp pro

    Well by the sounds of it he did a clean install of Windows XP onto a newly paritioned hard drive and its giving him errors.

    I suggest that you format your drive again, delete the partition then recreate it.. then reinstall XP Pro again. If you have the same problem it's most likely due to your CD being damaged.

    Is there a floppy disk in the drive?

    Would a floppy disk cause the system to read cannot find system32? (I realise if it was a bootable disk then yes, but what bootable disk would use or spit out the error system 32?)#

    I have seen a number of different errors when a "non-bootable" floppy is in the drive....depending on the OS..NTDLR is missing, which has prompted many people to believe that there HD is corrupt....turns out the system is trying to boot from the floppy first and its not bootable.
