I am looking at getting a E6750 C2D, 8800GTS, 2GB corsair memory depending on the Mboard.

for now I plan on sticking with win XP. I am undecided if I will want to do an SLI set up in the future

if anyone has some suggestions that would be great

Newegg.com - XFX MB-N680-ISH9 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

    Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS4 Rev. 2.0 LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

oh and I do realize the gigabyte board will not do SLI

    Peace!

Basically the difference between those two are very little. The p35 is an overclocker's chip while the 680i will obviously overclock well but it supports the full SLI/crossfire. The p35 will also support the 45nm processors soon to come out, but it will be completely underclocked.
