Hm..MSN could be having problems, but I'm on it now fine.

Try the router again, it may have been a glitch.

dry disabling any anti-spam prgorams of or pop up blocking, sometimes those programs interfere with chats or messangers

i have, i have disabled everything, i have tried port forwarding, port triggering, restoring router to defaults and setting it up agian, but it still wont work, i dont understand, when i uninstall msn messenger and reinstall it, all settings are same, its all ready knows my email and all i have to do is click sign in, is there some way to get rid of msn messenger so it start by scratch so there is nothing left of it, so i can set it up as if i have restored my computer, i dont understand why i have this problem becouse last night it was working perfectly, nothing was changed, so i dont know if its msn bieng idiots, but i can sign on using web messengers, and everyone i know and people who live near me can sign on, aol say that havent done anyhting, but msn works perfect withy modem, i cant use web messenger, its rubbish, if i cant solve this then i am going to have to say bye bye to msn, could my router have decided to break???

your internet may be disabling it considering it unsafe, check out also if you hadn't blocked the connection via your firewall

the only firewall i have is built into router, and it cant be disabled, as i said, it was working ok with firewall last night, i dont have any other firewalls, something has ot be done, i have nieng trying for neary 6 and a half hours to get msn to work, but i have had no luck.

it seems like my computer must be broke, or router getting ready to explode, i dont get it.

I dont know if this may help but try doing ipconfig thing

you have to go to run first and type cmd and type the thing below
    do this ipconfig/release then ipconfig/renew

i do it all the time i have trouble with something connecting it generally helps me

you can also try gettign a registry cleaner and erasing old messenger registry things and try a fresh instalation sometimes when you do restore system the programs are still on the machine
