Multisite Technology

Hi all

I have been allocated the task of exploring mutisite technology; however I am unfamiliar with this technology and would appreciate any help and/or advice anyone has to offer!

My first task is to explain the simple benefits of using mutisite technology i.e. overview, cost etc…

Therefore does anyone know where I might find detailed information relating to the above?
