    Hi,

I have a 3-yr-old hp laptop. From couple of days the screen of laptop was getting stopped showing some weird screen image. I am shutting down the computer and turning on again whenever those weird image were appearing. But today when I turned of my laptop after getting same weird screen image and tried to turn it again it didn't started. It made usual starting sound and also the light panel at the top of keyboard lit up. But nothing appeared on the screen. After while it started to turning off and turning on automatically. But nothing appeared on the screen. It just made starting sound and then light panel lit up. After while it turned off again. So the same thing happened again and again. So if anyone can provide me idea how to resolve this problem I will be really thankful.

    Hi,

Sometimes if a laptop doesnt start, I have found if you take out the battery and unplug the AC power cord, then hold down the power button for about 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back in and try it. If it works, put the battery back in and try booting again to see if it will boot up again. If the screen starts giving you weird images, try hooking it up to an external monitor to see if the problem carrys over. If it does, it could be the onboard video or something else. If it doesnt, it may be a problem with the laptop screen.

It might be problem with your battery. Remove your battery and wait for 3 seconds
Put back the battery, Turn on Laptop (make sure it is connected to AC)
