    Hi

I am trying to build my new computer from a scratch and with reasonable price :), this is what I stopped on this far.
I am not very experienced in this so any opinions are welcome!

This is what I have in mind so far

The board, cheap but has some good reviews.
    Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 - 939 (nForce4x) – ATX

    The CPU
    AMD Athlon 64 (3000+) VENICE - 512 Cache [939 PIN]

Now on graphics card I haven’t decided yet but I thought of taking one of those:
    Gigabyte 6600GT 128mb DDR - VIVO/DVI - PCX [NX66T128VP]
    http://www.giga-byte.com/VGA/Products/Products_GV-NX66T128VP.htm
    or
    GIGABYTE Radeon X800 128MB - TV OUT / DVI - PCX [GV-RX80128D]
    http://www.giga-byte.com/VGA/Products/Products_GV-RX80128D.htm
    or
    GIGABYTE Radeon X800 256MB - TV OUT / DVI - PCX [GV-RX80256D]

Where the memory is concerned I thought of taking with quantity over quality… and take two sticks of 1GB TwinMos DDR PC3200/400 (TMD) - TwinMos - C2.5

    One last thing is HD
I though of several options (I don’t really need a lot of space and can always add one more large HD)
    1) Take two HD - WD Raptor - 36GB - 10,000RPM - S-ATA and place them in raid-0.

    2) Or to take one WD Raptor - 74GB - 10,000RPM - S-ATA (for system and swap etc…) and one other large HD for storage.

I must say that the raid option looks more appealing to me since raid should give even more speed out of the raptors.

Any opinions or change suggestions are welcome

    Thanks!
