I am looking for a new computer. My GPU is nice (512MB 4870), but it's not DX11, which I want. All the other main components (Mobo, proc. memory) I'm not going to reuse. Might get some money from selling them though. What I can reuse, PSU (I have a good one, should handle anything I throw at it), and hard drives, some good fans. So in total, I need... A Case --- looking for a smallish one, not one that's tiny, but not a full tower, and no major lights. I used to think they were cool, but now they're just annoying. A Mobo --- I think I need PCIE-2.1 but I'm not sure. I do want DDR3, do want to over clock some. A processor --- Whatever's a good value. Thinking Quad-Core. GPU --- Need DX11, something good. RAM --- Lots, thinking 16GB, or atleast 8GB made of 2*4GB so I can make it 16GB later. I want to be able to handle massive Civ5 maps with whatever mods I want on it. DDR3 is worth it now, right? Optical drive --- Anything in particular I need? Blu-ray worth it at all? Think maybe $1200? Not a strict limit, and also not a "use up the entire $1200 for the hell of it," I want good value, just use that as a guideline. Any suggestions? Also, someone said to wait for Sandy Bridge and Raedon 6Ks, is that worth it?
