    1)Yes.
2)You would have to remove the CPU's heatsink and the CPU first, but there's no soldering involved.
    3.)No.
4.)Depends on your motherboard and what you have now.
5.)1GHz chips aren't in production anymore, so the price can vary. I wouldn't pay more than $50 for one.

sorry for that bad letter mixing i was typeing fast :) playing game and forum posting not good combo

so is adding a cpu hard im 15 and i dont realy want to mess my computer up but a new cpu would make my comp 100x better

realy 1ghz only 50 thats pretty cheap

so u can just add on i have 1 400mhz (SLOW i know) i can just add a new one and i will have total of 1.4ghz or will it be better to just use the 1ghz

and i will edit this or repost my power suppy but will going from .4 ghz to 1ghz make a lot of power useage

should i add a 2nd fan i have 1 thats on the power supply and a little on on the cpu

if i add a fan i sould just cut a hole in the side right then add power (whats a cheap quiet one)

you can't add 2 CPUs in one motherboard, unless it's physically possible where it has two slots or sockets. No, it's not hard, maybe separating the fan from the CPU if the thermal paste has dried up, but other than that it's only a matter of removing the fan then the CPU and then replacing it with the new one.

Can you give us your system specs and we might be able to help you choose an appropriate cPU for your system.

dude. Take your pc to a shop (they know whats is happening). It wont cost that much to upgrade your cpu if you are looking at thet kind of range. It is risky doing it yourself if uve never done it before and have not seen anyone doing it before.

But if youre keen to learn to diy then sytem specs would be usefull as roy said.
