To go into an Asus P4S8X-X, I thought I remembered seeing that this MB was prescott ready, I could have swore I did......Anyways any help would be appretiated....I want to know if it will work. Thanx!!

Doesn't look like it. Asus doesn't specify Prescott support anywhere, nor gives any indication that they have a BIOS update with it. Additionally, the SiS648 (not 648FX) is only spec'd to go up to a 533MHz FSB, and the 3.0E has an 800MHz FSB, so even if it did work, there's always the possibility that you wouldn't be able to run it at full speed, even by overclocking since the chipset probably doesn't have dividers or even the ability to lock the PCI and AGP speeds. You can try it if you want to, but I wouldn't recommend it. You could get the 3.06GHz 533MHz FSB part, but that's about it for that motherboard. Overclocking might render you a faster CPU, but at that point you're relying on luck.
