New Mushkin triple chan mem kit should I keep old ram?

    I just got a triple channel set of Mushkin enhanced (3)X4gb 1300mhz I think. I have 2 sticks of 2gb 1077mhz? Should I reinstall these into my second bank slots 4 & 5. Or will that decrease its performance? Is it worth the extra 4 gigs? Do I still retain triple channel?
