Buying new budget PC, I found one, this was the best I could find:
    Intel Celeron D 356 3.33GHz, 533MHz FSB, 512KB Cache
    512MB DDR RAM
    80GB HDD
    DVD RW +-
    ATI Radeon X200 128MB
    8-1 Card Reader
    15" TFT

    For £349.99 + shipping (e $700)

What do you guys think of this, and do you think there is any better offers out there?

Thats expensive......and I dont think that you are getting a Windows CD with it...

Check [link=http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/store/26/cat/Home-PCs]this link[/link] and see how cheap they are....

Also there are some other [link=http://www.hardwareforums.com/good-etailers-us-canada-uk-europe-aus-etc-10157/]websites here[/link], jst check them and get the best out of them....

Yeah, that is a bit steep.

Id avoid the celerons these days. Theres nothing wrong with them but its should be possible to get a P4 (if your going down the intel road) on any budget.

    Hmm!!

Have you tried Aria PC. you can custom build yr pc and they are quite reasonable. Only things i didn't buy from aria were, mem and graph card. Mem from 'crucial' and card from 'ebuyer' respectively.

Most probably yes, but im not up to spec with AMD at all so im not the one to go recommending a particular AMD cpu over an Intel one. We've only ever had an XP2000+ and a Sempron something or another, im more of an intel fan tbh.

Welll the answer is yes and also no...
Reason, if you take the same Dual Core processors from Both Intel and AMD, AMD will perform better in gammings and they are comparitively costs same, which means AMD is cheaper. But Intel has come out the Conroe processor which is much faster then AMD's but those are bit expensive...so!
