Hi Guys, I'm new to the forum today my name's Ben Hello! o/ I'm quite close to buying/building myself a new Gaming PC for the first time, but before I hit the checkout I'd firstly like some input confirming that all the parts are compatible and should all fit as they should. E.g is the case the right size/ will the motherboard fit OK/ correct memory etc. Secondly If there's any changes I should make to get better value for money/performance. I'll be using the PC primary for gaming so any additions will be considered. Thanks a billion !!! Ben http://www.ebuyer.com/lists/list/118973
Hello, I am not seeing any HDD on that list. The SSD is OK (well, actually among the best SSDs out there) as a system disk, but not as a storage device with lots of writes (long story short: capacity decreases over time). You might consider installing the games onto an HDD and running from there. Also, that is a pretty serious build - have you thought about some good speakers? You might want to consider buying a sound card, also. I think it's a waste getting an Ivy Bridge and a Z68 motherboard.. I suggest switch it to a Z77 board of your preference. I see you picked a Gigabyte motherboard, you can try the Gigabyte Z77-UD3/D3H if it's in your budget. If you want more functionality, the UD5 and UD7 is also out in the market. Gigabyte makes good quality motherboards! +1 Another thing I checked out the ebuyer site for z77 motherboards, and IT IS CHEAPER! So if you haven't clicked the checkout yet, please change it.. Here is the search list I did on the ebuyer site: http://www.ebuyer.com/search?q=gigabyte+z77 For the prices, you can try OverclockersUK. If you want to check the prices in terms of USD, try Landmark, Newegg, NCIX, Tigerdirect.
