hello i am fairly new to my newfound love/hobby which is computers
i just built a new pc which is a intel i 5 quadcore750 ,with a msi p-55 (mainboard) and 4 gb ddr3ram
the question i have is regarding how to best and fastest install my os (windows7 64 bit) on a new ssd i just ordered, its the : Intel® X25-V SSD 40GB 2,5"
I already have just one hdd on my pc its a ordinary samsung spinnpoint f1 7500, sata2 on 640 gb ,on this i have my os ,and around 300gb of movies ,music.
Now will i be better of doing a clean install on my ssd?
how do i do this?
(i have the windows7 cd) is it best to just format the old hdd and uninnstall it, and just have the ssd innstalled when i install the os on it?
(ive heard somewere that i could only have one hdd connnected when innstalling os on a ssd)
as u might understand im pretty new to this so a step by step instruction or any good tips how best to do this would be appreciated a lot
the scenario is this : i got a 640gb hdd w os and other files on (ca 300gb)
want to put the os on my ssd and use this as a systemdisk only
i know i could probably use some kind of partition tools but with no partition on my old hdd that might be a problem
