Can any one help as I have had to disable my graphics card due to error code 43. I understand that this is a corrupt driver error, how ever reinstalling the drivers has not worked,
    Any help will be grateful.
    Thanks

"One of the drivers controlling the device notified the operating system that the device failed in some manner."

It looks like it may be the Graphics card with the problem not the drivers.

ps try reseating it by taking it out and back in again :)

    Hi 8bitbob

After reseating the card, there has been no effect I am currious weather after a year the card has just given up. before I look at replacing the card. I have noticed I have a notification of incompatible display adaptor. and wondered if an update could be conflicting with the drivers? there is an update for visual C++2008 x86. do you know of any evidance of this conflicting and would it do harm by removing this.

    Many thanks Mickey

    hi mickey,

Do you have onboard graphics adaptor as well as the 8400gs

also what operating system are you using?

and did it just stop working out of the blue or after youve installed new drivers or some other hardware

Yes I am now using the onboard adaptor.

o.s is vista home premium 2gb ram 32bit

and yes on day the system just shut down. then I found by going into settings i could use the onboard card. maybe a power surge?

hmmm, is it possible for u to try and get hold of another graphics card before paying out for one.

then you would know for certain that its your 8400gs is at fault.

but i does sound like its buggerd :(
