No Display in the Monitor

    hello all,

    i am facing an issue while starting my desktop.

    i am able to switch on the CPU ; CPU got started ; but there is no signal/display seen in my monitor.

    i have unplugged/plugged all the connections and made it tight...

    Moreover , there is no problem with my UPS.....

    Kindly suggest your views to tackle this problem.

    My Desktop's configurations are, (it is an assembled one)

    1. LG Monitor 17'' CRT
    2. INTEL Motherboard 2.66 GHz Dual Core Processor
    3. 512 MB RAM DDR2
    4. 80 GB Seagate Harddisk

    i am using this since April 2006.

    Open your case and look for a smallish battery. Pull out that battery and wait 5 seconds. this will reset your cmos to defualt settings. Then give it another go and if you get a bootup screen then you should thank your lucky stars. If not...

    can you try your monitor on a different system, if it works then your monitor is not at fault, so then we need to try a different grfx card, to find the device that is at fault, possibly try removeing & reconnecting your grafx card (assuming it's not onboard VGA) & just double double check the VGA cable has a good connection, also is the monitor receiving power
