no sound?

rite brand new pc here lads :D get in !!! woohooo only problem is i have no sound what so ever.

rite i got a chip inetergrated by realtek ALC850 ( 7.1 ch H/W audio )

please reply i need serious help im a noob on pc's

Have you installed drivers for you sound card?

If not, follow this link:

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloads.aspx

You should be able to find the appropriate drivers from there.

If you have installed drivers, have you turned all of the volume switches up? It's a simple mistake. Make sure 'Master' 'Wave' and 'CD audio' are all turned up.

If you have tried all of the above, is your device showing any kind of error in device manager?
