Hey guys, I'm an MCSA and I'm having trouble with a PC I got in a few days ago. It's a Gateway GT5028. Onboard video doesn't work and I can't get it to recognize a GForce 5200 card.
I have tried:
-Replacing known-good RAM
-Reinstalling OS
-Replacing known-good HDD
-Flashing CMOS
-Replacing known-good PSU
-MOBO jumpers
There is literally NO video. Monitor (known-good) goes into sleep mode or doesn't pick up at all, on either video connection.
I believe the mobo needs to be replaced but I know that it functions. If I boot the computer with all functioning hardware, it will boot into the OS and play the Windows "welcome sounds". I just really want to use this board, it has a better CPU than mine with a socket my board doesn't support, and it has 4 RAM slots.
Let me know if there is anything you can think of to try.
Thanks!
-Ryan
