HI
My sister got a new computer. it has a 300 GB WEStern digital sata 1 drive. now i was trying to install windows xp on it but XP kept saying that my HDD was not detected until i found that there were sata drivers to be installed. unfortunatley it required a floppy drive so that drivers can be copied to a floppy from the motherboard cd but i did not have a floppy drive so i found another way, which was to set the "Sata Operation mode" to "Non-sata" from bios. and so i did and now im up running winXP.
Well basically what i wanted to ask was
Will switching to non raid or not using raid affect the hard disks performance?.
