'norton ghost 10' restore point wont boot

Hello :hi2: basically i want to know how to make a ghost image of my current hdd so when i next wanna do a format i wont need too actually format it, but restore the ghost image instead.

I once tried norton ghost 10, backed up all my files on it (into one huge file i think) but after the restore the drive didnt boot so could anyone please tell me how to do it properly so that i can do a backup without worrying

thanks for help, i did wot it said but the backup copy did not boot properly it just paused in the login part where it says "microsoft windows xp" then the screen goes blank. great!
