at the moment im running a 9800pro but i tend to get a lot of gliches with it, i aint sure but i think the problem may be a compatabilty 1 with my motherboard which is MSI K8N Neo plat. which uses nforce3 technology and i know ati and nvidia aint the best of buds

either way im hoping to get a new nvidia card for F.E.A.R. so i just want to know which is the best 1 and where can i get 1 cheap.

if you got any other suggests like not gettin the best 1 to save a bit of money and getting a lesser card i'd be glad to hear them :). also if you got any suggests about my compatability issues then let us know that aswell

    thanks for any input

    my specs:- AMD64 3200+
soon to have 1gb kingston hyper x
    9800pro
    MSI K8N Neo plat.

Best nvidia card is the 7800GTX, but there are 7800GT cards which apparently can be unlocked to re-gain the 4 pixel pipelines they lose by being a gt....

What are you prepared to spend for the card? You can get a 6800Ultra/GT which should play FEAR well. But it depends on how much.

He can't use a 7800GT/GTX card as it's PCIe and he has AGP. The X850XT is the fastest AGP card available but I would suggest changing you're motherboard as well. MSI has had problems similar to this, we've advised people about this matter before. Look into ABIT, ASUS, or perhaps Gigabtye or DFI. But make sure they support PCIe first.
