Onboard display controller doesn't work after Graphics card is removed

I have asus p4s533mx motherboard. It has a 4x agp slot in which I placed Geforce 4 MX. I have been using this graphics card for 1 or 2 years. Now when I remove the card and plug my monitor onto the onboard vga controller, nothing gets displayed on the monitor. The light on the monitor gets blinking, but nothing gets displayed. The CPU makes usual sounds to indicate that proper boot has taken place. But nothing is displayed. What could be the problem ???

there are 2 easy ways i know to enable the onboard grfx

1, simply do a BIOS reset

2, reconnect the grafx card (& reattach the VGA cable to the grfx cardand turn your system on, then enter the BIOS and enable onboard grfx

then turn off system and perminently remove the grfx card, & reconnect the VGA cable to the motherboard / onboard grf

BTW: which of these motherboards do you have ?

1, simply do a BIOS reset

i cleared the bios, no change....still the same result

2, reconnect the grafx card (& reattach the VGA cable to the grfx cardand turn your system on, then enter the BIOS and enable onboard grfx

When i connected the graphics card there was no need to change any bios setting...so when i remove should i change something ??? i did not notice anything like that in bios...can you please suggest some keyword ???

are you sure about the motherboard model (p4s533mx) as i've searched asus.in & can't find the motherboard to get a manual for your motherboard, as it will tell you exactly how to re-enable onboard grafx

Asus socket 478 motherboards are here (presumably it's a 478 motherboard)

Edit: as you probably know, every different motherboard has a different BIOS, so, your motherboard manual will tell you exactly how to re-enable onboard grafx
