Some time ago, the computer security companies F-Secure and Kaspersky cracked the algorithm that is used by the Conficker worm (a.k.a. Downadup) to connect to its creator. The used domain names have been published. OpenDNS has now used this list to block connection attempts of the worm, and notice network administrators if the worm has infected their network, to improve security.
