Hi there just a quick problem probably (& hopefully) I have set up Outlook 2003 with my university email account (which is a microsoft exchange server) Everything is working fine... except the fact that when syncronising outlook it is downloading all the emails held on the university server instead of just copying them to my computer in halls so they are actually no longer on the university server - and as i often need to access my emials at uni this is really annoying as i have to remote desktop to my computer in halls just to check my emails. I have searched and searched for a solution to this problem to no avail, you'd think there would be a check box somewhere that says 'leave my emials on the server you piece of M$ shit' Anyone have any ideas? (no flames please and no i will not change to a different email client ) cheers ferg
Click Tools > Email Accounts > View or Change Accounts http://www.321imagehosting.com/files/change.gif > Change the Account you choose http://www.321imagehosting.com/files/change2.gif > Click more settings http://www.321imagehosting.com/files/moresettings.gif > Change the delivery options to what you desire http://www.321imagehosting.com/files/delivery.gif That should do it
Thanks for your lengthly reply and that is exactly where i thought the check box should be, except on my outlook its not there! http://www.servfiles.com/4692/ and when you click on the offline mail settings you get this http://www.servfiles.com/4693/ any ideas? ferg
I read that to utilise the Exchange Server features in outlook you have to purchase them. I'm not 100% positive on this one but thats all i can tell you!
