Hi

Can anyone help please.

My Mother-in-Law has had a new PC Built and contains 2 Partitions.

When in My Computer shows them as follows:-

LOCAL DISK (C)
FILE SYSTEM NTFS
FREE SPACE 2.59GB
TOTALSIZE 4.88GB

DATA SPACE (D)
FILE SYSTEM FAT32
FREE SPACE 14.1GB
TOTAL SPACE 14.1GB

It appears that operating system ( Windows XP PRO ) and everthing else stored in local disk.

How do I
1. add more space to local disk
2. transfer programmes to data space

I would be grateful for any advice as I am a novice.

Thank You.

Dave

You can use a tool like PartitionMagic to resize the partition. ITs easy to use and you can distribute space among your partitions.

To transfer programs, you need to uninstall them and install them in your D partition when asked. (e.g. D:\Programs\Mozilla Firefox\)
