At present i have Norton internet security off the disk, and i have found that it is the best to store pics in a yahoo e mail draft. Most stay showing. Once that goes i lose so many, that will not show anymore. Does anyone know a free antivirus and spyware that is as good? I have found the avg,and the free Norton are no good. The pics go to just an empty white box with a cross in the corner. Maybe there are others that will? Thanks to you all for any help,Mick.
fist of all, good luck getting rid of NIS you've made the right decision antivirus Avast spyware Spybot S & D & Ad-Aware all software i've posted are free for home use, & i recommend you use both spyware removers and keep the definition upto date and as NIS is a crap firewall, i used Zonealarm when i used XP
Thankyou for the reply. I do use spybot and adaware already on top of norton internet security. The 3 month subscription i had to it runs out soon after i installed a new harddrive,so i am looking for something that effectively does not lose you pics in draft, like landscape or whatever. Even Norton does not show all but most, yes. I have tried zone alarm, but it failed to keep pics in draft, some anyway. It's a mystery why some show and some do not. Thanks again! I'll try that avast when the time comes, but it is the ability to keep pics that i am after most.
your email program probably has an option to keep pics in draft BTW: if i were you i'd do a clean reinstall of XP, that the only way i know that will truly get rid of NIS, because once it's being on a system it virtually impossible to remove absolutely everything it puts on your system good old symantec, don't you just hate them Edit: BTW: what email prog do you use
Any idea where i'd find that option in yahoo? What basically has happened is most of my many stored pics in draft show as long as i have the latest Norton. I have yet to find another that does not lose me over half of the pics that stored under Norton, which is aggravating. The free version of Norton is as bad as the others i tried. There must be something out there! Lol. Thanks anyway.
