In my Pc my main drive is a Pioneer DVR-109 and until a couple of days ago.. all was well. But now in my main computer (Athlon 64 3000) Windows has disabled it and when I try to enable it the computer quickly flashes an unreadable STOP error message and reboots. Under Startup and recovery settings reboot on system failure is not checked... and therefore should not reboot. I apologise if this has been posted in the wrong forum as I could not decide if I should post it here or under a Windows XP section.

    Thanks, Thomas

You wouldn't happen to have any of the games in this list installed by chance?

Also, list your system specs too.

    Yes I would...

    TrackMania : Power Up !
    TrackMania Nations
    TrackMania Original
    TrackMania Sunrise
    TrackMania Sunrise eXtreme

But they all work fine in the 2nd Drive (MSI CD-RW MS-8348), Well except Trackmania Nations but that doesn't need a CD.

    My System Specs Are:

    Athlon 64 3000+ @ 2.0GHz
    WinFast 760GXK8MC MotherBoard
    512MB RAM PC3200
    200GB Maxtor SATA Hard Drive
Creative Audigy SE 24bit Sound Card
Sapphire Radeon Atlantis 9100 Pro (AGP)
    Windows XP Pro SP2

    Thanks, Thomas

Oooh... Just managed to enable it without it crashing (Don't ask how)... but now when a disc is inserted nothing happens except the drive spins up. When in My Computer windows says there is no disc in the drive.

    http://www.glop.org/starforce/remove.php

Use that info above to get rid of that Starforce copy protection crap. Nothing against copy protection, but the way SF handles things, it can permanently damage both of your burners.

Got rid of them... and yay now it works. But running the games again just reinstalls the driver :( . What I can't understand is why it's only happened now and not when I first installed the games??

    Thanks, Thomas
