    Hello gang,

Well after much research and question asking (a fair bit of that here) I pulled the trigger on my computer build. However it appears that I didn't pay closse enough attention to the specs on my motherboard with regards to SLI.

I had been looking at the ASUS P8Z68 V PRO/GEN3 because it supported Nvidia SLI (and I purchased an EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti) but in the interest of saving a few bucks I made a last minute (and uninformed) decision and chose the P8Z68-V LX instead. It appears that the later only supports AMD Crossfire, crap!

The whole point of this build was to build a machine that would be an affordable graphics workstation for school (I'm a visual effects major and will be learning Maya, Nuke and I'm not sure what else) and the rig would eventually run dual video cards. I went with an Nvidia solution because my video card research seemed to lean in that direction.

I'm not sure what to do at this point. 1)work with what I've got. 2) return the mobo and get an ASUS model that supports SLI. 3)return the Nvidia card and get the closest AMD card that can match it.

    Please help.

update: nevermind previous message. I figured that the best solution was to return the mobo and order one that would be compatible with my Nvidia card. I've got an ASUS P8Z68 V-GEN 3 on the way. This mobo DOES support SLI and will be delivered tomorrow.
